Accutics Standardize

New

New navigation bar with shortcuts

We reviewed and improved the main navigation bar. The new design includes three main sections depending on whether you need to have an overview, configure the project (admins) or simply create campaigns.

We also added shortcuts, so you can access features more easily. These include:

  • Field values. This opens the configuration where you can manage existing field values.

Depending on your user access you may have some limitations.

  • Add multiple. This opens the Bulk Template to create multiple campaigns (or drafts) at the same time.
  • Drafts. This opens the overview page of your drafts (see the Campaign Drafts section below).

Bulk import of field values in Inputs

You can now import field values instead of inputting them manually.

Indeed, for dropdown fields, you can upload values from a .xlsx file and review them before finalizing your import.

Step-by-step instructions (click here)

From the dropdown field, click the meatballs menu (...) > Import.

This will open a popup window to let you either download a template or upload your own file. Then:

  1. (Download and fill in the template)

The template is a .xlsx file comprising of a name and abbreviation column. You can skip this step if you want to use another file.

  1. Upload the template or your own file

You can either drag & drop or browse to choose a file. Wait till the file is uploaded > `Review´

  1. Review the values

The review stage lets you manage the values you just uploaded. Warnings will be displayed if the data cannot be accepted.

  1. Finalize the import

Note: If you want to use your own file, it must contain the column title ‘Value’ on A1 and ‘Abbreviation’ on B1. The format needs to be .xlsx

Campaign Drafts

We introduced a drafting feature to Bulk Template. Now you can save multiple campaigns as a draft, and which you can view and edit from the Drafts page at a later point.

Tip: drafts can also be used as templates as they can easily be duplicated for repeated uses.

Details on creating a draft (click here)

To create a draft:

  1. Open the Bulk Template
  2. Create one or multiple campaigns
  3. Save draft

This consists in naming the draft and confirming the save

Once you created a draft, you'll have two saving options:

  • Save as new draft. This saves the draft as a new one.
  • Save draft. This updates the changes made to the current draft.

  • Recent drafts. This gives you quick access to all recently created drafts.

Details on managing a draft (click here)

To view and access existing drafts, select `Drafts´ from the navigation bar.

On the Drafts page, you can find a table displaying all existing drafts with the indication of name, last user, number of campaigns it contains, date of the last update, and date of creation.

  • By clicking on the meatball menu (...), you can open, duplicate or remove a draft.
  • To delete / duplicate multiple drafts, select all or some drafts > `Delete´ / `Duplicate´ on the top right of the table
  • A filtering function and search bar on the top of the table allow you to narrow down the selection

Export of campaigns from the Campaign Table

You can now download a file containing campaigns data directly from the Campaign Table.

To access the Campaign Table, select `Campaigns´ from the nav bar > click the export icon.

This will create a file containing all campaigns and data that were visible on the table.

Tip: If you want to download specific campaigns, you can apply filters so that only the needed campaigns are displayed.

Removing empty query parameters in Outputs

We introduced a new feature to remove empty query parameters from your tracking codes.

In certain cases, you may have a query parameter without a value. This is reflected in the final output as an empty string. To avoid this, you can check the `Remove empty parameter´ box. This will ensure that any parameter without a value is removed from the final output.

Example (click here)

Let's consider this case of conditional parameter value:

If the source is Google Ads: https://example.com?utm_source=google-ads&utm_launch=31/10-2022&clid=123abc

If not (any other source): https://example.com?utm_source=google-ads&utm_launch=&clid=123abc

You can notice that utm_launch is empty, making the tracking code longer without adding any information. You can now remove it by checking the box at the end of the parameters sequence.

`Remove empty parameter´: https://example.com?utm_source=google-ads&clid=123abc

FPT Connector

We introduced a new target for Connectors - FTP. The new File Transfer Protocol target is a generic Connector that allows you to connect Accutics Standardize to any other third-party tool.

Use case: Integrating to a third-party tool for which Accutics Standardize does not have a Connector yet.

Remember? We introduced a platform-specific Connector for Adobe Analytics in the previous release notes.

Compared to platform-specific Connectors, you have the option to define a path on the server, and name the file with specific values by using macros. By default, Accutics Standardize generates a unique value for each file.

Hover on the `File path´ tooltip to see a list of available macros.

SFTP is also supported. By checking the SFTP checkbox, the data will include Secure Shell (SSH) security components during transfer to the FTP server. This setting is recommended but not supported for all FTP servers.

Accutics Validate

New

New features added to DV360 and CM360

For both DV360 and CM360, we introduced a couple of existing features:

Effective status (condition) in validation rules

Applying the effective status feature means that Accutics takes into account the status of the element itself and all other higher-level elements as well. This can be applied when configuring a validation rule, from the Conditions tab.

Not applying the effective status feature means that Accutics considers the status of the element itself only.

Ad platforms have a hierarchical structure where statuses can affect each other.

`Use project taxonomy´ in naming validation rules

The `Use project Taxonomy´ feature allows you to retrieve and use naming conventions from Accutics Standardize projects. This can be applied from the configuration of a naming validation rule.

Remember? This feature was introduced in the previous release notes for Meta and Google Ads.

Improvements

Slow connection to DV360 when adding it as a source

When trying to connect DV360 as a source, the accounts would take very long to load - this has been improved and the loading time was reduced significantly.
